Necromancer // Nekromanta

The miniature is called Satheras, Elf Warlock. It was produced by Reaper Miniatures and sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I bought it several years ago as it was released as one of the first minis in Reaper Bone Series.

HMS King George V - Tamiya 1/350

It took me almost 2 years to finish this Tamiya 1/350 scale model of British flagship from the times of Second World War.  It was definitely the most time consuming project of my life. During that time, I learned a lot of new techniques and improved my skills. Despite that I will probably never repeat a project like that again. If I were to start again I would choose something in much smaller scale like 1/700. I think that this would be still a very satisfying range yet It should take smaller amount of time and effort to accomplish.

Since the beginning I post several entries about construction of that ship. You can see these here: Unboxing, Shipyard 1, Shipyard 2, Shipyard 3.

Have a look at some photos of the finished model.

If you like, please leave a comment.

Ostatni rok pancernik przeleżał w pomalowanych częściach i wystarczyło trochę chęci i wolnego czasu aby go wykończyć.

Do zobaczenia wkrótce.

Mercenaries - European Infantry 1450-1500 #4 // Piechurzy z Drakenborgu #4

Another part of my extremely fast painted Perry Miniatures' Mercenaries. It suffices to say that these concludes my work on 12-men strong infantry unit for Dragon/Lion Rampant. You can find previous miniatures from that box in these entries on my blog: 1 , 2.

Mercenaries - European Infantry 1450-1500 #3 // Piechurzy z Drakenborgu #3

Extremely fast painted Perry Miniatures' Mercenaries - European Infantry 1450-1500. Anther six miniatures for Drakenborg infantry or mercenary unit depending on the fantasy/historic setting that is used during the game. Previous miniatures from that box were shown in this post.

Descent Changelings

Changelings from Descent the boardgame 2nd Edition but I use them also in Dragon Rampant and Song of Blade and Heroes.

Figurki pochodzą z gry planszowej Descent druga edycja ale wykorzystuję je głownie w czasie rozgrywek w Dragon Rampant i Song of Blade and Heroes

Scibor Dwarf Nobleman #1 / Przywódca Cechu Kupców Krasnoludzkiej Kompanii Handlowej #1

Hi everyone

Finally, I found a moment to take some pictures of miniatures that I've been painting for the last 4 months. Hereby I present the miniature of Scibor Dwarf Nobleman as the Leader of the Guild of the Dwarven Trade Company. I have already written about the model in this extensive entry which I encourage you to visit. I have not yet had the opportunity to use this guy during the battle, but I feel that he will fulfil his job as a leader.

Take a look at the previous miniatures from Scibor that I painted last year:

Black Knights #2

Another 3 knights from the Skeleton Horde box. In fact, only two of them are the original miniatures from that set. I managed to get an extra knight with the horse by converting an old model from mid-90s that I had in my collection. Now I own 6 knights in total which is ideal for Dragon Rampant games. I'm pretty happy with the effect especially because I did not use any kind of modelling puty which saved the time I spent on the project. Everything keeps the same theme as the rest of my undead army so it looks good on the table. I hope you enjoy these.

Here you can look at my old model before conversion and here you can see previously posted 3 knights from the set.

Descent - Leoric of the Book

Leoric of the Book from Descent 2nd Edition the boardgame. Painted by my sister during the short introductory session to the painting hobby. Her first ever painted miniature.

Leoric z gry planszowej Descent.

Balvin - Dwarven Mage // Krasnoludzki Mag Bitewny

Black Knights #1

First group of Games Workshop's Black Knights used in Dragon Rampant and Song of Blade and Heroes.

Spirit Hosts

Games Workshop's Spirit Host. Nothing to add here:)

Unboxing the new Scibor’s Dwarves // Rzut okiem na nowe dobrocie od Scibor Monstrous Miniatues

Hi

You have certainly noticed that miniatures sculpted by the polish artist Scibor Teleszyński which are being sold in the store http://sciborminiatures.com/ are one of my favorites. I have a special appreciation for the Dwarven line. They have something I like: a variety of weaponry combined with travel attributes such as bags, coats, lamps and maps. Their theme brings to mind the classic imagination of the dwarves created by Tolkien in the Hobbit. I have recently purchased a few new models:
Dwarf General On War Bear
Dwarf Lord Ragar
Dwarf Lord Wolfrik
Dwarf Nobleman #1
Dwarf Nobleman #2
In this entry I will share my thoughts on them after receiving the package.

Arkhan the Black

Hello

The first model presented this year is Arkhan the Black from Gamesworkshop’s Skeleton Horde set. I do not particularly like this sculpture and its theme but so far, I have not had the opportunity to face such a large model and this fact encouraged me to paint it. There are so many well-painted and converted Arkhans in the network that it's almost a bit shameful to show you this unimposing portrayal. On the other hand, my interpretation is a bit different because nobody is painting this model in vivid colors and with flowers on the stand:) The effect is fully intentional and fits my collection of comic style undeads ...

Building King George V #3 // Wieści ze stoczni #3

Hi!

My return to blogging means not only that I returned to painting the 28 mm scale but also means that I returned to work on the King George V battleship. The last 2 months were relatively productive and there is a chance that the ship will be finished this year.
Previous entries about this model can be found here, here and here!

My new workshop and some WIPs // Nowa pracownia i pokój do gier!

Hi folks!

With this post I once again celebrate the resurrection of my blog. It was almost a half-year break and it is probably a second or even third resurrection action since the blog has been founded. Fortunately, each time I managed to return to the hobby and posting.

I am currently working on the details of the model using photoetached parts manufactured by Czech company Eduard. Tedious work but I hope that it will pay off when the model is finished. The project is so time consuming that I have a feeling that I could already have painted at least one or two new armies for Dragon Rampant instead of it. Previous entries about this model can be found here and here.

 Hi
It's been about two months since encouraged by a friend I bought that scale model so it is probably a good time to show how I stand with its construction. The project is something 'extra' and I don't assume any rigid deadlines for its completion. I usually work on it during coaching sessions with my friends who also got a bit engaged in the hobby. You can see the model just after unboxing in this post.

Dwarven Trade Company Warriors #6 // Ciękozbrojni piechurzy Krasnoludzkiej Kompanii Handlowej #6

Hi
As you remember, some time ago I wrote that I had presented all my dwarves from Avatars of War Ironshieds set. It turned out that I lied and several models from the box have never been published. I found 3 old photos while doing a cleanup on my disk. This time I counted all the models and I am certain that these are the last ones. It seems to me that I painted them in 2015 and the photos were taken by my old camera.  I have to work on the settings as the new photo (the last one) is somehow worse than those taken by me with my old equipment.

Previous models from the same unit:
Ironshields Command
Ironshields Warrior 2
Ironshields Warriors 3

Ironshields Warriors 4

Dragon Rampant Battle Report #1 / Raport Bitewny #1

This entry was written by my colleague, who wanted to share  his positive experiences he had with the Dragon Rampant rules published by Osprey Publishing. He declared that he is eager to publish something here regularly so I welcome him aboard piantwar  blog. Unfortunately, due to the amount of literary text and the lack of time the post has been written only in Polish.

- KorNat
