Descent - Merriods and Ironbounds

Several miniatures for one of my boardgames: Descent Second Edition. We also use them during RPG sessions and for wargaming. One of the Merriods was painted by my sister thus they are different.

Kilka maźniętych na początku tego roku figurek do gry planszowej Descent. Ot tak żeby się lepiej grało.  Modele są wykorzystywane również do sesji RPG oraz bitewniaków.  Ciemnoniebieski Merrioda pomalowała moja siostra dllatego modele są inne.

Figurki od Braci Perrych przedstawiający najemników z czasów Wojny Trzynastoletniej.  Figurki pochodzą z różnych plastikowych i metalowych zestawów od tegoż producenta.

The Others - Pride

Pride from The Others, published by CMON. Painted for my sister and brother-in-law for their collection of board games. The sculpture is made of a rather soft, plastic material. The treatment of this material was a bit problematic. Most of the parts fit well but there were some mistakes done during the casting process, which I did not clean up to the end.  My objective was to paint it as soon as possible to the tabletop level, so I did not have time for patience. The quality of the model is surprisingly high - many interesting details. Someone more talented who had time could certainly get more out of this figure. Nevertheless, I think that it worked out pretty well for the day of work. In 80 percent I painted this with an airbrush - there was an opportunity to use my new H&S Evolution Al Plus airbrush. I am slowly mastering this tool. After switching from H&S Ultra, I see the difference mainly in time needed for cleaning / changing the paint in the reservoir. It is much more less time consuming.

For size comparison, I uploaded pictures of several 28mm figures from the Perry Miniatures Brothers. As you can see, the miniature can be easily used in universal battle systems such as Advanced Song of Blade and Heroes or Dragon Rampant.

Pride z gry The Others wydanej przez CMON. Pomalowany dla siostry I szwagra do ich kolekcji gier planszowych. Rzeźba wykonana z plastycznego materiału. Sporo nadlewek, których do końca nie oczyściłem, ale założeniem było pomalować go jak najszybciej na poziomie tabletop, więc nie miałem na to czasu ani cierpliwości. Obróbka tego materiału była trochę problematyczna. Jakość modelu zaskakująco wysoka – wiele ciekawych detali. Ktoś bardziej utalentowany i posiadający sporo czasu mógłby z tej figurki wiele wyciągnąć. Uważam, że jak na dzień roboty wyszło całkiem dobrze. W 80 procentach malowałem aerografem – była okazja wykorzystać mój gwiazdkowy prezent H&S Evolution Al Plus. Powoli opanowuję to narzędzie. Po przesiadce z H&S Ultra widzę różnicę głównie w czasie czyszczenia/zmiany farby w zbiorniczku. 

Dla porównania wielkości wrzuciłem zdjęcia kilka figurek w skali 28mm od braci Perrych. Jak widać figurka pasuje do rozgrywek w uniwersalnych systemach bitewnych takich jak wykorzystywane przeze mnie Advanced Song of Blade and Heroes i Dragon Rampant. 

Dajcie znać co myślicie o tym modelu.

Dark Elves // Mroczne Elfy

Dark Elves painted by my friend during 4 painting sessions we had. These were his first miniatures ever. Two units of 12 corsairs and  12 pikmen. Painted especially for Dragon Rampant games.

Elfy pomalowane przez mojego kolegę podczas Świąt. Służyłem kilkoma dobrymi radami. Jego pierwsze skończone modele. Bardzo szybkie malowanie ok 4 krótkich sesji modelarskich. Oddziały pikinierów oraz korsarzy produkcji Games Workshop skrojone idealnie pod Dragon Rampant, w którym oddziały składają się po 12 figurek.

Treasure Markers - something to fight for! // Znaczniki celów bitewnych

Battle/Target markers for miniature wargaming. They will be used mostly in Dragon Rampant and Advanced Song of Blade and Heroes. Coblestone bases were made by me and bits were produced by various miniature manufactures. As long as I remember these were Ristul's Extraordinary Market, Fireforge Games, minimonsters.eu, Games Workshop and  Perry Miniatures.

Znaczniki celów stworzone do wykorzystania w kilku grach. Myślę że dobrze sprawdzą się w czasie potyczek w Dragon Rampant, Advanced Song of Blade and Heroes oraz okazjonalnie do gier planszowych i D&D. Podstawki zrobiłem sam natomiast bitsy pochodzą od kilku różnych producentów: Ristul's Extraordinary Market, Fireforge Games, minimonsters.eu, Games Workshop oraz Perry Miniatures.

 

Necromancer // Nekromanta

The miniature is called Satheras, Elf Warlock. It was produced by Reaper Miniatures and sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I bought it several years ago as it was released as one of the first minis in Reaper Bone Series. 

Figurka wydana kilka lat temu przez Reaper Miniatures w serii Bone. Tani plastyczny materiał,z którego została wyprodukowana nie ułatwiał malowania, ale jak na model za kilka złotych wyszło całkiem dobrze.

HMS King George V - Tamiya 1/350

It took me almost 2 years to finish this Tamiya 1/350 scale model of British flagship from the times of Second World War.  It was definitely the most time consuming project of my life. During that time, I learned a lot of new techniques and improved my skills. Despite that I will probably never repeat a project like that again. If I were to start again I would choose something in much smaller scale like 1/700. I think that this would be still a very satisfying range yet It should take smaller amount of time and effort to accomplish.

Po dwóch latach konstrukcji udało mi się finalnie zwodować model okrętu flagowego brytyjskiej Royal Navy z czasów II Wojny Światowej w skali 1/350. Zdecydowanie był to mój najdłuższy projekt modelarski zarówno jeżeli chodzi o czas jaki spędziłem nad jego składaniem i malowaniem jak i okres jaki minął od czasu ‘położenia stępki’. Ostatni rok pancernik przeleżał w pomalowanych częściach i wystarczyło trochę chęci i wolnego czasu aby go wykończyć. Ilość wiedzy modelarskiej i nowych umiejętności jakich nabyłem w czasie pracy jest tak duża, że cieszę się że podjąłem się prac nad tym projektem, jednakże nie sądzę żebym porwał się na coś takiego jeszcze raz. Modele redukcyjne to jednak nie moja bajka. Gdybym miał zacząć od nowa to na pewno nie porwałbym się na tak duży model. Wolałbym coś w skali 1/700.
